Why Moksh

Free, and honest about why

Moksh is the Hindi word for liberation, from the Sanskrit moksha. We chose it because studying abroad is, for most of our students, the first big decision they make entirely for themselves. EduFX is the other half of the name: education, and the foreign-exchange side of it, such as fees, remittances and living costs, worked out in rupees before you commit.

About Moksh EduFX

Free, and honest about why

Counselling is free for students. Universities pay us when a student enrols, and we say so openly. We will never steer you to a university because it pays more.

Your fit before our target

Counsellors are not paid on the number of applications they file. They are reviewed on visa outcomes and on how students rate their advice a year after arrival.

Written, not whispered

Every shortlist, fee estimate and visa checklist we give you is written down, so you can show it to your family and check it against the official source.

With you after you land

Our work does not end at the visa. We help with housing, banking, a SIM card and your first weeks, and we stay reachable through your course.

Our promises to every student

  • Free counselling and application support for students
  • A written shortlist with reasons for every university on it
  • Indicative costs in rupees, including living costs, before you apply
  • A named counsellor who stays with you from first call to arrival
  • Visa file review by a second, senior counsellor before you submit
  • No charges hidden in 'processing', 'courier' or 'documentation' fees

Study abroad with Moksh, destination by destination

Study in Australia: Practical degrees, strong part-time work rules and longer post-study stays for Indian graduates.

Australia has been one of the most popular choices for Indian students for more than two decades, and for good reason. Its universities are publicly regulated, its courses are built around employability, and the student visa lets you work alongside your studies. Cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth have large Indian communities, so food, festivals and familiar faces are never far away.

Study in Canada: Well-regarded public universities and colleges, with a study permit system that now rewards careful planning.

Canada has long been a first choice for Indian families, thanks to its public universities, practical college programmes, multicultural cities and a clear route from study to work. The Indian community is large and well established, particularly in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.

Study in UK: Shorter degrees, historic universities and a two-year graduate visa for applications made before 2027.

British universities have educated generations of Indian students, and the historic links between the two countries run deep. The UK's biggest attraction is time: most taught master's degrees last one year and most bachelor's degrees in England, Wales and Northern Ireland last three, which can lower the total cost compared with longer programmes elsewhere.

Study in USA: The widest choice of universities in the world, with up to three years of work after a STEM degree.

India sends more students to the United States than to any other country, and the reasons are easy to see. The US has the largest and most varied higher education system in the world, from large public research universities to small liberal arts colleges, and a very strong culture of research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Study in Ireland: One-year master's degrees in Europe's English-speaking tech and pharma hub.

Ireland is a small, English-speaking country in the European Union with a big international economy. Many of the world's largest technology, pharmaceutical, medical device and financial services companies run their European operations from Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick, which creates a steady demand for skilled graduates.

Study in New Zealand: Eight public universities, a calm way of life and up to three years of open work rights after a degree.

New Zealand is a small, welcoming country with a big reputation for quality. All eight of its universities are public and rank among the better-known universities worldwide, and vocational education is offered by polytechnics and institutes of technology, a sector that is being restructured into regional institutes. Every provider that enrols international students must follow the government's Code of Practice on student welfare.

Study in Germany: Mostly tuition-free public universities, top-class engineering and an 18-month job-search permit.

Germany is Europe's largest economy and one of the most popular destinations for Indian students of engineering, computer science and the natural sciences. Its public universities are funded by the states, and most charge international students no tuition, only a semester contribution that often includes a public transport ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Is Moksh's counselling really free?

Yes. Students do not pay for counselling, shortlisting, applications or visa guidance. Universities pay Moksh a fee when a student we have advised enrols, which is how most study abroad counsellors are paid. We publish this so you can weigh our advice knowing how we are paid.

Which countries can Moksh help me with?

Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, New Zealand and Germany. Each destination page covers costs in rupees, intakes, visa steps and work rights.

Can you guarantee admission or a visa?

No one honest can. Universities decide admissions and governments decide visas. What we can do is help you apply where you are genuinely competitive and prepare a complete, truthful visa file, which is what makes the biggest difference.

When should I start planning?

Ideally 10 to 12 months before your intended intake. That leaves time for an English test, documents, scholarship deadlines and a loan if you need one. If you are closer to the deadline, talk to us anyway; many universities have later intakes.

I have a gap year or a low score. Can I still study abroad?

Often, yes. Gaps can be explained with work or study records, and many universities weigh your whole profile. Try our Express Offer check to see where you are likely eligible today.

Do I need to visit an office?

No. Most students work with us over video calls and WhatsApp. If you prefer to meet, our New Delhi office at Connaught Place is open by appointment, and more cities are opening soon.
